Beijing. El Ministerio de Comercio de China afirmó este lunes que las medidas antidumping temporales aplicadas a ciertas importaciones de brandy originarias de la Unión Europea (UE) son plenamente legítimas y están en conformidad con las normas de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC).
Ante la solicitud de consulta presentada por la UE a través del mecanismo de solución de diferencias de la OMC, un portavoz del ministerio señaló que China gestionará este asunto de acuerdo con las reglas establecidas por la organización.
El funcionario subrayó que, como miembro de la OMC, China ha actuado con cautela y moderación al tomar medidas comerciales correctivas, con el fin de proteger el comercio justo. Además, aseguró que las medidas antidumping fueron adoptadas conforme a la legislación china, en respuesta a una petición de la industria nacional y tras una investigación imparcial.
