Bosch suprimirá 5,550 empleos debido a la crisis en el sector automotriz

Fráncfort. El fabricante alemán de equipamientos Bosch anunció este viernes que planea eliminar 5,550 empleos a nivel mundial, en su mayoría en Alemania, como parte de un ajuste a la baja en su fuerza laboral debido a los problemas que enfrenta la industria automotriz.

La compañía, que tiene una significativa participación en la producción de componentes automotrices, explicó que la producción mundial de vehículos se mantendrá estancada este año, con una ligera disminución en comparación con 2023. Según Bosch, la industria automotriz está siendo afectada por una creciente competencia de fabricantes chinos, una caída en la demanda global y los retrasos en la transición hacia los vehículos eléctricos.

En Europa, la situación se complica aún más por la competencia de proveedores ubicados en países con costos de producción más bajos, lo que representa una clara desventaja para los fabricantes europeos.

La mayoría de los despidos se llevarán a cabo antes de 2030, según la empresa. Esta medida se suma a los 7,000 despidos anunciados en los últimos meses, especialmente en la división automotriz, que constituye cerca de dos tercios de los ingresos de Bosch.

Este recorte de empleos es una nueva señal de la crisis que atraviesa el sector automotriz, uno de los pilares de la economía alemana. Otros gigantes del sector, como Volkswagen y Ford, también se encuentran en proceso de reestructuración debido a los mismos desafíos.
