El Hospital Ángeles Tampico cuenta con el mejor equipo médico para resolver complicaciones por nacimientos prematuros al tener la mejor unidad de cuidados intensivos prenatales de toda la región que recientemente fue adquirida.
Las personas que tengan que atravesar por esta situación ya no tendrán que acudir hasta la Ciudad de México, Nuevo León o inclusive el extranjero, ya que con esta compra el Hospital Ángeles compite con cualquier nosocomio a nivel mundial.
En el marco del día de conmemoración de los bebés prematuros, este nosocomio realizó un ciclo de conferencias de concientización abierto al público en general para evitar que se registren fallecimientos por esta causa.
El doctor Miguel Baltazar, director general del hospital, señaló que celebran el día del bebé prematuro con esta campaña que consiste en un ciclo de conferencias para mejorar la calidad de vida de los pequeños.
“Contamos con la unidad de cuidados intensivos prenatales más importante de la región y también al mejor equipo médico para poder resolver cualquier situación que se nos presente, ya que competimos con cualquier hospital del mundo”.
Aseguró que con este módulo pueden incrementar el porcentaje de sobrevivencia de los bebés, “por eso es importante mencionar que en el Hospital Ángeles nos han instruido a que todos tengamos la mejor tecnología el mejor equipo médico y mejor respuesta para poder atender a la población.
Por su parte, doctor Gabriel González Sosa, pediatra neonatólogo jefe de cuidados intensivos, explicó que con el evento denominado “Pequeños grandes héroes”, se conmemora el nacimiento de los pacientes prematuros, pero aclaró que no es un día que se espera celebrar, pero sí es importante que sea de concientización para dar información acerca de la importancia de que las madres tengan los cuidados pertinentes.
El especialista hizo hincapié en que se debe tener un adecuado control de embarazo, acudir regularmente al especialista para que le den un tratamiento adecuado.
“Ese tipo de nacimientos suceden y no se programan, por eso tenemos que estar preparados con toda la tecnología y el personal capacitado para dar la atención correcta al paciente”.
A nivel mundial son 13.5 millones de nacimientos prematuros y en México de uno a dos bebés nacen prematuros de cada 10.
“Esto se refiere a que tiene su nacimiento antes de las 37 semanas de gestación, eso se debe a infección repetitiva o un embarazo mal controlado en situaciones de riesgo como puede ser en menores de edad porque sus órganos no están bien desarrollados, también personas con obesidad o hipertensión, que toma alcohol o consumiendo alguna droga”.
En el Hospital Ángeles cuentan con cunas de última generación que están hechas para pacientes muy pequeños, incluso menores de 1000 gramos, tienen monitores y también simulan el vientre de una mamá con sus latidos del corazón.

Pueden nacer de las 22 semanas para arriba, pero tienen un 5% de supervivencia y con cada semana que pasa avanza el porcentaje en mejora, que es lo que buscan mejorar con la implementación de tecnología.
